![Dear Friends of The Cosmic Bicycle & The ClockWorks ~ Puppet Theatre,
We wanted to reach out to You today to Celebrate with You, the 1st Anniversary of The ClockWorks ~ Puppet Theatre, and to let you know where we have been the months of March and April. We can finally share with you the good news of our current undertaking.
For the past eight weeks, we have been busily creating a New Work for the amazing vocal artist, Norah Jones and Her Brand-New Album, “Little Broken Hearts” being released TODAY ! Our show, set to the music of the Album, “Theatre of Little Broken Hearts” is premiering this Thursday, May 3rd, and is the central event of this Record-Release Celebration, a “Private” event for EMI / Blue Note Records, and sponsored by Bowers and Wilkins.
We are Thankful & Thrilled to both Ms.Jones, Danger Mouse, and Zach Hochkeppel at EMI / Blue Note Records, for choosing us to visually capture this edgy dark story-album of songs about bad-romance.
We are looking forward to ‘re-opening” The ClockWorks later this month, with a proper “Anniversary Celebration” and New Edition of “Das WunderKammer ~ Puppet Kabarett”. The Kabarett was recognized this year for its’ excellence by being awarded a National “Puppet SLAM Grant” [http://www.puppetslam.com]. This grant goes to pay fees and travel expenses for our Guest Performers, and is sponsored by our dear friend, Heather Henson.
We will also be bringing back our “ClockWork KIDZ Matinee Series” and “Junior Puppet Master Workshops”, and look forward to Celebrating 23 Years of “The Cosmic Bicycle Theatre” ! But we are especially hoping to return to the theatre with our newest work “Theatre of Little Broken Hearts” and are hoping to share it with You ! {KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN TO RECEIVE THE FORTHCOMING NOTICE ! THIS ONE IS NOT TO BE MISSED !}

For the delight of audiences aged 5 to 105, Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theater offers “A Christmas Carol, Oy! Hanukkah, Merry Kwanzaa (Happy Ramadan).” The show is an adaptation of Dickens’ classic with Old World accents and New World inclusiveness. Adapted and directed by Vít Hořejš, it features over 30 puppets by Milos Kasal backed up by a live chorus: Czech, English, Hebrew & Swahili songs are performed by an acapella choir of Judith Barnes and Hayden DeWitt.
