Alas ! The ClockWorks is No More ! The remnants of the dream lie buried in a mausoleum , and shall remain there a slumber , until the recollection of wonder and marvel returns to the minds of men.

Dear Friends ,
I write you today with unsettling news of our future here at our current home at 196 Columbia Street, Brooklyn , and a plea for your much needed assistance to keep us afloat.
We have had a great many successes here since our opening on April 30th, 2011. In our brief run we have presented full runs of 6 MainStage Productions, 12 sessions of ClockWorks KIDz Matinees, 7 editions of Das WunderKammer ~ Puppet Kabarett, and a plethora of KIDz Partys, Junior PuppetMaster Classes, and special events.
In addition, we shut down operations in the Spring and turned to developing our biggest and most complex work to date; our collaboration with the outstanding vocalist, Norah Jones, “Theatre of Little Broken Hearts”. Norah chose us to create a stage spectacle of her critically acclaimed new album “Little Broken Hearts” for her record’s release event. The show returned to The ClockWorks this Summer for a 5 week run.
As you are aware, all of this creative productivity took place during a very uncertain economic time period. We now find ourselves facing an extremely tight deadline to raise capital to appease our Landlord in order to stay open past the end of September.
Put simply, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please consider making a donation TODAY. In addition, Donations of $200 and over shall be Tax Deductible if made out to our Fiscal Conduit, Christ Church – Cobble Hill and earmarked for The ClockWorks. Our goal is $12,000. Given the overhead and amazingly high level of artistic productivity of this ‘little theatre that could’, consider that your money will go further with us than it will with any other arts organization.
I promise to fight till the final hour, but I cannot do it alone. Moves have been made to share the space with several other arts groups in an attempt to defray future costs and responsibility, and emergency plans to move the theatre are being investigated, but we need your assistance in order to do so.
This Month you will have opportunities to visit us for 3 weeks of ClockWorks KIDz Matinees {with a super fun new format} , a Special “Oddities” Fund Raising Variety Show September 22nd {featuring my old & dear friends Mike & Evan and others from the cult hit television series} , and a very very special “SAVE THE ClockWorks!” Edition of Das WunderKammer ~ Puppet Kabarett September 29th where we will celebrate this very special Theatre we call Home.
Thank-You for your Belief and Support. Sincerely Yours, Jonathan Edward Cross
{a.k.a. Jonny ClockWorks}

Set to the Soundtrack of Norah Jones’ critically acclaimed new album “Little Broken Hearts,” The Cosmic Bicycle brings you “Theatre of Little Broken Hearts,” a visual dreamscape interpreting this moody album through the use of puppets, projections, and creative stage imagery.
As part of the launch of Norah Jones’ album “Little Broken Hearts,” the celebrated experimental puppetry theatre company The Cosmic Bicycle created “Theatre of Little Broken Hearts” which uses Jones’ album as the soundtrack to a visual dreamscape. Each of the album’s twelve evocative songs are accompanied by equally evocative vignettes that utilize puppets, projections and creative stage imagery. First presented at Manhattan venue The Box during the album’s release week as part of a listening event hosted by Bowers & Wilkens. The Cosmic Bicycle will now present the show in an extended run at their home base, The Clockworks Puppet Theatre in Brooklyn.
